Stranded near the Burj Khalifa – any mobile VW battery guys around?
This is seriously the worst timing possible – I’m supposed to be picking up some clients from the Dubai Mall in about an hour and I just walked out to my Jetta to find it completely dead. No lights, no clicks, nothing. I tried the emergency key to get in and the interior lights barely flickered, so the battery is definitely toast. I’m parked near the Burj Khalifa and I’m panicking because I can’t exactly leave clients waiting while I figure out a tow truck situation. I know Volkswagen’s are particular about battery replacement and you can’t just slap any old battery in there without doing the coding, otherwise the car’s computer gets confused and you end up with all sorts of electrical gremlins. I need someone who can come to me quickly, has the right diagnostic tools to do the battery adaptation, and actually knows what they’re doing with VWs. If anyone knows a service where I can learn more about Volkswagen battery service near Downtown Dubai and get someone here within the next hour, I’d be eternally grateful. I’ve seen a few mobile battery vans driving around the area before but I have no idea if they carry the correct spec batteries for German cars or if they just do Japanese ones. Really don’t want to have to cancel on these clients over something as stupid as a dead battery, so any recommendations for a reliable mobile fitter who covers this area would be amazing right about now. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, I’m literally sitting here refreshing my phone waiting for replies.
